Hey Johnny Depp, Miss Piggy has her eye on you

Updated

Breakups are hard.

Public breakups are harder.

Breaking up with Kermit the Frog: perhaps unfathomable.

And yet, that's what Miss Piggy grappled with, as the eyes of the world dissected every aspect of the once-perfect union. Now, she's in a video called Kermit Gets Set Up, featuring Viola Davis and Julie Bowen.

We connected with the fine swine to get her take on what it takes to break her (spoiler alert: nothing).

Q: How did you get through this ordeal?

A: "On a personal level, going through a breakup is always extremely difficult. All the hopes and dreams of our time together were dashed. It is heartbreaking, and it will take time to heal. That said, on a purely professional level, it's been gangbuster. There's no better way to drum up interest in our new primetime ABC series The Muppets than to tap into the a legendary romance gone pfft!"

Q: Do you ever get star-struck?

A: "I've struck a few stars over the years, but none of them have come even remotely close to laying a mitt on me. Heheh. A little joke from the writers on my talk show, Up Late with Miss Piggy. Very little. The truth is, I feel every bit the equal of every star I've met over the years. Though Streisand singing still knocks me for a loop. Love you, Babs. Do my show!

Q: Now that you're single, any celebrity crushes?

A: "Oh my, yes....Johnny, George, Brad, Denzel, Liam. Hollywood is filled with so many handsome men. Too bad several of them are taken. Of course, some of them got married before I became single again. So we'll have to see what happens now that I'm back in circulation."
