The Queen of England may reside in Buckingham Palace but Her Majesty now also has a home in Chicago.

Crain's Chicago Business reports Queen Elizabeth II purchased a 26th floor condominium at, appropriately, The Buckingham. The 44 story building overlooks Grant Park and Buckingham Fountain.

We doubt the Queen will ever visit her new flat -- she hasn't stepped foot in Chicago since 1959 -- but the condo will be home to Canadian consul Roy Norton. Remember, the Queen of England is also the constitutional Queen of Canada.

We don't know how much she paid for the flat, but a similar condo sold for over $1.5 million.
