This new Facebook update is going to destroy some friendships

Let's be honest, you receive a lot of event invitations on Facebook and you often ignore most of them without major repercussions. That will be no longer possible thanks to an evil update that the social media platform is testing.

According to The Daily Dot, Facebook is beginning to unveil read receipts for Events, which means your friends will be able to see when you look at an event and you decide to ignore it. Additionally, the creator of the event will be able to see if you have been checking the updates and keeping up with what's happening or simply snobbing the whole thing. Start preparing excuses because "I didn't see the invitation" just won't cut it.
