Forget the wrap dress, Diane Von Furstenberg is channeling a new type of chic for her latest line.
Instead of thinking futuristic, the designer decided to take her inspiration back to her own glory days -- the hazy disco nights of the 70s. Staying true to decade's roots, designs conjured up images of glitzy parties at Studio 57. Ethereal cuts, with billowy draping and belted waistlines, were in full swing.
The biggest names in modeling also dominated the catwalk, including Gigi and Bella Hadid, Karlie Kloss, and Kendall Jenner. Squad goals!
Kendall sported a completely sheer white romper with low clinched waistline, making for a sexy and still ultra-feminine party attire. Gigi, Bella, and Karlie were adorned with vivacious prints and flower graphics.
Makeup was equally as period. Models sported a bright cobalt eyelid and nude lip as styled by Pat McGrath. After hair genius Orlando Pita gave the models of the hour a solid tease and Farrah Fawcett wave, the look was finished off with a touch fresh flowers.
Even though every piece was pulled with the 70s in mind, the cuts focused on modern silhouettes, making each look translate into a contemporary wardrobe.
Leave it to DVF to do the impossible: make the disco days so much cooler than they already were.
