A&E to Air TV Special on Bill Cosby Accusers

A&E is giving a platform to Cosby's accusers.

On September 17th, the cable network will air a provocative, hour-long special entitled Cosby: The Women Speak. The entry will offer intimate interviews with more than a dozen accusers, some of whom will be sharing their accounts of sexual and other misconduct by Bill Cosby for the first time.

The special comes as the weight of allegations against Cosby continue to mount and follow the revelations from his 2005 deposition. In the unsealed deposition, Cosby admitted to giving Quaaludes to a number of women with whom he had sex.

In late July, New York Magazine gathered 35 women who have brought allegations against the veteran comedian to pose for its cover. The headline read, Cosby: The Women, An Unwelcome sisterhood.

The Women Speak is being produced for A&E by Lincoln Square Productions, with Lincoln's JeanmarieCondon and Jim Hill Senior serving as executive producer alongside the network's Shelly Tatro and BradAbramson. This special is the first of four from Lincoln Square airing on A&E.
