A pleasant blue sky background reminiscent of a still, blissful day among the quiet countryside is the backdrop to the Mara Hoffman RTW Spring 2016 collection. To further set the scene, Willie Nelson songs play one after another as models strut Hoffman's newest creations down the runway. Models waltzed the catwalk in pigtail-braided hairstyles, inspired by iconic Nelson as "Blue Skies" played merrily through the speakers.
Hoffman's delightful prints and cheerful personality were evident throughout the show, visible in rainbow patterns, free flowing dresses and an array of feminine silhouettes in the form of jumpsuits and two-piece sets. Amongst a sea of sublte color combinations and eye-catching patterns were navy stripes, lush palm leaves, grand florals and pastel stars. Chic, western and whimsical was an unexpected yet complementary combination seen throughout the show.
As per usual, Mara Hoffman lit up the runway as she closed the show hand-in-hand with her son, both clad in matching cloud-printed looks.
As if smiles weren't an obvious accessory worn by everyone in the audience after happy prints and airy patterns floated across the stage, the matching mother-son duo definitely created unanimous grins across the room.
