The manuals, one for ' How to use a toilet' and the Akimahen (Don'ts of Kyoto) use cartoons and emoji's to explain 18 rules of correct tourist behavior, some of which include, where to smoke, when to take your shoes off, where and when you are able to take photographs and how to act appropriately at temples and shrines.
