The Entertainment Industry Foundation announces XQ Institute as founding collaborator of new Think It Up

The Entertainment Industry Foundation announced today the XQ Institute (a new initiative incubated by the Emerson Collective) is the founding collaborator of its national Think It Up education initiative and will make a significant announcement during its roadblock telecast.

Think It Up, which will begin to roll out this fall, will help work with teachers to develop projects that both harness students passions and apply what they are learning to address real-world problems, generate new ideas and make a difference.

Think It Up will officially kick off on Friday, September 11, broadcasting a star-studded event live at 8 pm ET & PT / 7 pm CT on ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC with a performance by one of the hottest rappers in the music industry, Big Sean.

Jessica Biel, Jimmy Kimmel, Austin Mahone, Big Sean, Eric Stonestreet, Justin Timberlake and Stevie Wonder​ all join the previously announced roster of telecast participants which include Halle Berry, Justin Bieber, Stephen Colbert, Jennifer Garner, Scarlett Johansson, Taylor Lautner, Matthew McConaughey, Gwyneth Paltrow, and many more.

The program will spotlight powerful stories of teachers and students working together on the types of projects to be supported through Think It Up, and include live musical performances from world-class artists, comedic sketches and more.

XQ Institute is an organization dedicated to rethinking school in America in order to create new learning opportunities for young people and open up the possibilities of the wider world.

Think It Up, an initiative of the Entertainment Industry Foundation, was created to bring broad cultural attention to the urgency of improving the learning experience in America, creating a culture of excitement about learning everywhere and building a sense of optimism about the potential of education in classrooms across the country.
