Woman finds black widow spider in grapes from Michigan Walmart
TROY, Mich. (WTVR) -- A Michigan woman had quite the scare when she came home from a trip to Walmart.
Ariel Jackson was washing some grapes she had just bought, when a black widow spider crawled out of them.
Jackson said she had never seen one before and didn't know what to do, so she called 911.
"When I called them, I was like, um, this really isn't an emergency, but I have a black widow spider and he's like just kill it and I'm like me? You want me to kill it?" Jackson told WXYZ.
The operator told her yes and eventually her brother and her boyfriend killed the spider.
Freaked out? Maybe take a peek at these real life 'spider' men:
Jackson said she is just glad she found the spider before anyone got hurt.
"My nephew is one, if he would have got bit, if it would have got loose in the house overnight, imagine, something could have happened, it's scary," said Jackson.
She said she probably won't be eating grapes anytime soon. "I think I'm going to take a break from grapes for a little while. Oh my gosh," said Jackson.
Ariel said she contacted Walmart, they just told her to bring the receipt back in and they'd give her a refund.
