Miss America 2015 behind-the-scenes is wild, crazy and awesome

Poised and polished is what fans will see when the ladies of Miss America 2015 hit the stage on Sunday September 13 at the pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey, but behind-the-scenes it is a whole different story!

Preparations for the competition begin weeks before the grand night and the ladies have been jetting around the country for appearances from a stint on "Good Morning America" to a parade in Atlantic City (the official home of Miss America!) to meeting up with Benjamin Franklin at The Liberty Bell in Philadelphia. Naturally, the stunning women have been documenting their journey to the crown with photos -- and they might surprise you!

In the snaps, the gals are chowing down on ice cream sundaes and pasta dinners, goofing around on golf carts, having major games of mini-golf, and giving each other piggyback rides. In a word, it's the real-life version of "Miss Congeniality.
