Some great news coming out of London!

Sam Smith has just confirmed that he in fact will be singing the new theme song for the upcoming James Bond movie, "Spectre."

Because the U.K. is just littered with amazing talent, there were a few other names in air, such as Ellie Goulding, Ed Sheeran and even Radiohead, but the "Stay with Me," singer nabbed the top prize.

Smith took to Twitter to express the great news!

He first dropped a little hint with a ring engraved with an octopus logo, which is the symbol also used by crime ring Spectre.

And then, the big news!

If all goes well for Sam Smith, which we know it will, the song could potentially send him home with an Academy Award, just like Adele with Skyfall for the last James Bond film.
