Manny Pacquiao is coming off the most talked-about fight of his life, but also his most crushing defeat. His loss to Floyd Mayweather in May left him with a sixth career defeat and a torn labrum, which the fighter is still recovering from.

Once he does, he'd like get in the ring one last time. After that, he will call it a career, according to his longtime promoter, Bob Arum.

Talking to TMZ on Tuesday night, Arum said that Pacquiao will retire before Mayweather, when prompted by the interviewer. He further elaborated that Pacquiao's goal is to become senator of the Philippines, which will happen in 2016, and that he will end his boxing career before election.

Pacquiao will turn 37 in December. His career record stands at 57-6-2, with 38 victories coming by way of the knockout. He'll go down as one of the best boxers ever, and a hero in his home country, regardless of how his final bout turns out.
