15-year-old Tyrelle Ware posted a video on Facebook that appears to show a woman taking out a gun and pointing it at a teenager during a confrontation. According to Fusion, Tyrelle, together with his 18-year-old brother and another friend were approached by 42-year-old Tracy and Don Leeser who claimed they received an SMS from their son informing them that three boys were about to jump him at the park.
Don is filmed in the video carrying a baseball bat, while the mother appears to take out a gun when one of the teenagers threatens her son. According to STL Today Tracy commented:
"Did I intend to use the gun? Absolutely not, but I felt that was my only safeguard against being killed that night. Worst-case scenario, yes, I would have used it. But I didn't."
As reported by the same source, Cristina Halton, mother of the Ware brothers, thinks that the parents should be charged in order to show that it is not okay to point a gun at a teenager to deal with an argument.
