Dead man found hanging from Queens highway exit sign

A man's corpse was seen hanging by the neck from a highway sign on Wednesday morning on the Cross Island Parkway in Queens.

John Rynne, 57, was found hanging from the traffic advisory board at Exit 31 in Bayside. Police are currently investigating the case as a suicide. Rynne was declared dead at the scene.

The body was first spotted hanging near Northern Boulevard at 6:50 AM by commuters during the morning rush hour commute.

As people drove by the hanging body this morning, several tweeted about witnessing the scene. Many people were terrified and disturbed to see the "pale" body hanging from the sign:
