To no surprise, the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards turned into a night to remember.

The event was filled with risque fashion choices, plenty of snarky comments, and a load of drama -- which stole the spotlight of the star-studded night, hosted by Miley Cyrus. The show was slotted with several highly-anticipated performances from the likes of Nick Jonas, Walk The Moon, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Tori Kelly, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and Demi Lovato.

Lovato performed her current single "Cool For the Summer" in a sleek and sexy one piece and knee-high boots. She even brought on her BFF Iggy Azalea for a special remix of the anthem. After Azalea's verse, Lovato hopped onto a giant inflatable inner tube and was carried above the crowd in a whirlwind of confetti. Needless to say, the high-energy performance had the audience roaring in thunderous applause and excitement.

Every fan at the event loved Lovato's performance, but one celeb (who did not) took to Twitter to vent her personal opinion. Comedian Kathy Griffin seemed agitated that Lovato used some backing tracks during her performance and was quick to call her out online. But, Lovato wasn't here for it. She responded with a cool and confident rebuttal with a hilarious photo -- quickly putting Griffin in her place.
