How Cute Is Too Cute? Baby Snow Leopards Charm Chicago

If adorable, cute and endearing are achievements that can be unlocked in real life, then the Brookfield Zoo certainly has the key. Make that the keys. Plural.

On Friday, the Chicago-area zoo released photos and a video of its two newest additions: baby snow leopards with sparkling blue eyes.

More adorable baby animals:

The white-coated, black-dotted female cubs were born in June at a nearby animal park and presently weigh around 10 pounds each. Still essentially infants, the fetching felines are currently off-exhibit so they can sufficiently bond with their mother and are expected to go on display sometime in October. Until then, Brookfield Zoo will be posting updates to its Facebook page and website.

Snow leopards are an endangered species due to multiple forms of human influence on the large cats and their natural environments. Only 4,000 to 6,500 are believed to still remain in the wild.
