Nicki Minaj takes aim at Miley Cyrus in heated on-stage MTV VMAs exchange

Nicki Minaj may have buried her 'bad blood' with Taylor Swift just a few minutes prior, but the "Anaconda" singer took aim at VMAs host Miley Cyrus while accepting her award for best hip-hop video.

After thanking her pastor, Minaj turned to Cyrus at the other end of the stage.

"And now ... back to this b--ch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what's good?"

The VMAs host, for her part, proved her hosting chops and was quick on her feet:

"Hey, we're all in this industry, we all do interviews and we all know how they manipulate [expletive]. Nicki, [expletive] congratulations," she said before continuing on with the show.

Cyrus was quoted in the New York Times this week in response to Minaj's beef with the VMA nominations and tense Twitter exchange with Taylor Swift:

"I don't respect [her] statement because of the anger that came with it. And it's not anger like, 'Guys, I'm frustrated about some things that are a bigger issue.' [She] made it about [her]," she said.

"What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind," she continued.

Ouch! Guess that didn't sit too well with the "Feeling Myself" songbird, who was still seen talking back at Cyrus after the heated live exchange ... We'll definitely be tuning in to see what happens next in this brewing feud.
