Fab or flop: Vanessa Hudgens' sleek shirt dress, Miley Cyrus' bizarre bunny ears, and more

Fab: Vanessa Hudgens

Despite the cast, Hudgens looks effortlessly cool in this chic shirt dress and pointed toe flats. When wearing such a simple frock, the accessories always make or break the look. Hudgens chose elegant yet edgy necklaces and the perfect oversized tote. We also love the giant shades! Looking good, Vanessa Hudgens.

Flop: Rita Ora

We're not sure what Ora was going for when she put this outfit together. For someone who's been winning the fashion scene lately, this outfit definitely isn't her best. Her shoes are great and we like the idea of a long-sleeve sheer top, we just don't love the star-shaped stickers or metallic skirt. If she added a bra or bandeau and opted for a different tight-fitting skirt, the outfit would definitely work better.

Fab: Ali Larter

Larter makes the fab list twice in a week with this stunning denim romper. As denim is perhaps the biggest trend of the summer, she made it her own and gave it extra flare. We absolutely love the classic black and white bucket bag!

Flop: Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus always knows how to shock a crowd. While the singer has been seen sporting some trendy outfits as of late, this one looks like a throw back to our pre-school days. We suggest she ditch the bunny ears and sweater in favor of a simple T-shirt and maybe a fedora if she's inclined to add a head accessory.

Fab: Kendall Jenner

Because we can't possibly go a week without featuring Kendall Jenner's fabulous wardrobe! We absolutely love the loose-fitting shirt dress paired with thigh-high leather boots and a leather jacket. Jenner is the perfect example of how to transfer styles from summer to fall with the best trends of both.

Flop: Helena Bonham Carter

While we love Helena Bonham Carter and understand that she's not one to follow the masses, we can't help but wish she traded those pink clogs in for a more flattering shoe. The whole outfit would work much better with a slip-on sneaker or even wide-strap sandals. We actually kind of like the jacket if she paired it with something a bit sleeker such as jeans and a solid top.

Fab: Ali Larter

Larter looks more like she's starring in a style advertisement than casually shopping. We love long-sleeve shirts with shorts, and the print of her blouse is definitely a "wow." The minimalist shoes and cool shades definitely add to the reserved yet trendy vibe. We absolutely LOVE the bucket bag!

Flop: Meg Ryan

While Meg Ryan looks adorable in anything she wears, this outfit isn't doing much for her. The denim dress is actually very in this season, but we think the look would work better if she traded the messenger bag for a saddle bag and sported a sleeker pair of slip-on sneakers. She should ditch the hat altogether and go with some fun statement jewelry instead.

Fab: Vanessa Hudgens

Hudgens is more than making up for last week's flop with a double fab this week! She looks great in those boyfriend jeans and slip-on flats. We're loving the casual crop top and the extra long gold necklaces add the perfect touch. The retro shades are pretty sweet, too. It looks like she even changed her cast to match the pink chambray around her waist. Nice color coordination, Hudgens!

Flop: Phoebe Price

While two-piece sets and prints are both all the rage this summer, the patterns on Price's outfits are frankly quite dizzying. We suggest she go with either solid pants and a printed top or vice versa if she's going to sport such a busy print.

Fab: Amber Valletta

We love the oversized striped top with extremely skinny black jeans. The slip-on sneakers add the perfect touch to the overall laid back vibe and the torn, distressed jeans add just the right amount of edge. Valletta looks calm, cool, and chic.

Flop: Elisabeth Moss

We love Elisabeth Moss and usually enjoy her eclectic looks, but this one is just off the mark. The dress doesn't seem to fit perfectly at the top and as we know, the perfect fit is everything. We also don't love the understated shoes and clutch. Some funky jewelry and fun heels might glam the look up a bit.

Fab: Catherine Zeta Jones

Does it get any more fabulous than Catherine Zeta Jones in this pic?  Her outfit screams chic with the extra long white blazer, black and white hat, and ultra dark shades. The slouchy black pants are a dressier take on the "boyfriend jean" trend and the black closed-toe shoes are simple and sleek.

Flop: Sharon Stone

We won't give Stone too much grief for this outfit as she was clearly enjoying a casual outing for a pedicure. However, it's perfectly doable to be comfy and stylish. Even if she opted for black culottes instead of those striped shorts the look would vastly improve.

Fab: Rochelle Humes

We are obsessed with Rochelle Humes in this outfit! The crisp white button up is the perfect complement to the bright printed skirt. Given the particular print, the skirt actually falls under the 70s-esque trend that's taken over summer style. We adore the barely-there sandals and fun statement necklace to tie the look together.

Flop: Rashida Jones

We see what Rashida Jones was going for with this dress, we just think it's too much material for her frame. It appears to weigh her down. This is a classic case of "she's not wearing the dress, the dress is wearing her." We adore the white flats though and would love to see them paired with perhaps some torn boyfriend jeans and a simple striped tank.

Fab: Hannah Davis

Davis shows us that sometimes, less is more. In simple black shorts with slight embellishment on the sides and a black V-neck blouse, Davis looks charming and suave. We love the black and gold in her bracelet and clutch and her strappy sandals are a big win. Even her hair and makeup is minimalistic! Clearly simplicity can still be glamorous.

Flop: Phoebe Price

This is flop number two for the eclectic Price this week. While we like the idea of a two-piece set with floral prints, we're pretty sure that top isn't meant to be quite so revealing. In addition to securing the top, we think the look would work better without the necklaces and red sunglasses. We'd love to see the hat paired with the two-piece set and some wide-strap sandals.

Fab: Michelle Rodriguez

Rodriguez looks cool and collected in this denim-on-denim outfit. We love the oversized chambray top paired with a tight tank and those skinny jeans are the perfect amount of washed out. The round shades with a silver frame and beanie are the perfect accessories to give the look a cool, grounded, West-coast vibe.

The end of August puts celebrity style to the ultimate test. As celebs headed to their final beach outings, basked in the sun as they strolled Beverly Hills Boulevard, or hit the end of summer sales on Manhattan's fifth ave this week, we had an eye on them - and their outfits - the entire time.

Minimalism was the way to go this week as we saw many stars step out in simple strappy sandals, casual shirt dresses, and solid staples. We especially loved Ali Larter's denim romper as all-denim outfits were perhaps the biggest trend of the summer. Kendall Jenner waved goodbye to summer trends and took a bold step towards fall fashion by breaking out the leather jacket and boots to complement her breezy shirt dress.

While some stars dazzled us with their end-of-summer looks, others left us dazed and confused. We were especially baffled by Rita Ora's sheer top and pasties and Miley Cyrus' bunny ears. While those were two of the more obvious flops, the most common mistake of the week was pairing the wrong shoes with certain outfits, such as Helena Bonham Carter's pink clogs with her red-infused dress.
