Combined, 10 couples have been married for 534 years.

The Kramers met on a blind date on Christmas Day in 1949.

"I thought she was the prettiest thing I've ever met. She's been faithful to me, she followed me. I asked her to move eight times," Charles Kramer said.

When they married, the preacher had them say "for whither thou goest, I will go."

"I didn't know thou was going so far and so often," Margaret Ann Kramer said.

Leaman and Judith Harris met on the shore of Lake Huron of Michigan. They were both in the Air Force.

"I think it's been a roller coaster. There have been highs and lows but, basically, it has been a good ride," Judith said. "I like to say we were both RNs. I was a registered nurse and he was a Radar Navigator on a B-52."

For Ron and Doris Schnuelle, they met through church friends, who had a plane. Their first date was an afternoon flight.

"They are still saying we owe him for a plane ride," Ron and Doris said.

For Martha Mahl, she first spotted Don on the baseball field.

"He was a man in uniform," Mahl said.

These couples all have their secret to a successful and long marriage.

"You have to have a lot of patience and perseverance," Charles said.

"I think it's compromise. Yes, compromise," Leaman and Judith said.

"It's a companionship," Ron said.

"The real secret to a long marriage is don't die. So far, it's worked," Mahl said.

Friday, these couples celebrated with a wedding cake, cupcakes, savory food items, love and lots of memories.
