Watch this dog help his epileptic owner during a seizure
Not only are dogs an adorable companion but they can also be a major help when we are going through a difficult time. Puppies have been trained to use their senses to spot seizures in epileptic owners even before they happen, and even to help them through the attacks themselves.
These service dogs can greatly improve people's life by letting them know beforehand when an attack is coming so that they can get ready and not let it take them by surprise. During a seizure these puppies can also provide comfort to the patient by staying close to him or her, cleaning their faces from excess salivation and easing their way out of the attack.
Shannon, an epileptic woman who has the fortune of having an adorable dog to support her through her attacks, posted a video to raise awareness on how important these pets can be. Warning: the video contains footage that might disturb some viewers.
