Why this Wonder Woman lunchbox was banned from school

Updated

With the upcoming filming of Wonder Woman creating quite the buzz, comic book fans are pretty excited, to say the least.

Girls around the world have been patiently waiting for a new female superhero movie, including young comic book fan, Laura. This elementary aged girl proudly brought her Wonder Woman lunchbox to school everyday...until recently.

The school sent Laura home with a note for her parents, stating that they find the lunchbox inappropriate and not to bring it to school anymore. They deemed the lunchbox inappropriate because they believe it represents violence.

A Reddit user posted the note and a few photos of the lunchbox in question. They note reads as follows: "The dress code we have established requests that the children not bring violent images into the building in any fashion – on their clothing (including shoes and socks), backpacks and lunchboxes."

So went want to know, do you think superhero lunch boxes promote violence?
