Late Wednesday morning, a television reporter and cameraman were fatally shot live on-air during a local news broadcast in Moneta, Virginia.

The suspected shooter is Vester Flanagan, who went by Bryce Williams on television, who was a former colleague of the two victims at the local WDBJ station. Soon after the attack, Williams allegedly started tweeting from a Twitter account that reportedly belonged to him, sharing messages about his reasoning for the shooting as well as videos reportedly documenting the attack.
