Khloe Kardashian Wakes L.A. With Fireworks Celebration For James Harden

Khloe Kardashian played hostess at a blowout bash to celebrate her new boyfriend's, NBA star James Harden, 26th birthday according to People. All the usual suspects -- Kim KardashianWest, Kanye West, Kylie Jenner and Tyga -- were in attendance aboard the yacht in Marina del Rey, California Tuesday night. But like any Kardashian party, the event wouldn't be complete without sharing it with the public -- which in this case began with an enormous fireworks display at midnight that lasted fifteen minutes and infuriated local residents, TMZ reports.

When reached for comment by THR, Petty Officer Andrea Anderson of the Coast Guard said that while the agency had not issued an official permit, they had issued a "Letter of Recommendation" for the Kardashian fireworks display the night of the party. According to Anderson, the letter does not authorize for any particular time and place, only declares that the proposed event does not endanger other marinas, vessels or bystanders. Anderson also said that officials from the fire department "had boarded the boat the evening of the party" to complete a safety checklist, but she could not speak to the nature of the permit obtained or if there was one issued. "It all came together very quickly last night," she added.

THR has reached out to the L.A. County Fire Dept., which is the agency responsible for issuing firework permits in Marina Del Rey, and will update with their response.

Many local residents, including some irritated celebrities, were less than thrilled at the latest Kardashian extravaganza, taking to Twitter to vent their irritation and even fear at the sounds of the blasts. Josh Gad tweeted "To whomever planned fireworks at midnight on a Tues thank u. Sincerely parents of 2 children who just woke up thinking we were being shelled"

Rebecca Black added to the complaints, tweeting "who on earth in the los angeles areadecided it'd be a good idea to set off FIREWORKS AT MIDNIGHT IM TRYING TO SLEEP"

Apparently no one can escape the Kardashian Jenners, even while sleeping.
