Josh Duggar's wife reportedly 'blames herself' for his cheating, will stand by him
Josh Duggar's wife Anna is reportedly standing by her man after he admitted he had been unfaithful.
The 19 Kids and Counting star revealed he had cheated on Anna in a statement after a report said he had been a member of Ashley Madison, a website used by cheaters.
But according to family sources who spoke to People magazine, "Anna will not leave him."
People adds that she "blames herself" in part for her husband having an account on the website.
The couple married seven years ago in a spectacle that was featured on the show. During the ceremony, he pledged his fidelity to her in a song, singing: "I will be loyal to you."
It has emerged that he had two accounts on the website and one was active as recently as May 17 – at the time his wife was pregnant with their fourth child, Meredith.
When he registered with the site, he listed his ideal woman as "a girl next door" with a "take charge nature."
In a statement on Thursday, he said he had been "the biggest hypocrite ever."
Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, for whom Josh Duggar used to work, also released a statement following reports of the Ashley Madison account.
"We are grieved by Josh's conduct and the devastating impact of his pornography addiction and marital unfaithfulness," it said.
"Our hearts hurt for his family, and all those affected by Josh's actions. His deceitful behavior harms his family, his friends, his former coworkers, and the cause he has publicly espoused."
Josh left his role with the council after it emerged that he was accused of molesting young girls as a teenager.
Hackers released details of millions of users on Tuesday before dumping more data on Thursday.
