Pumpkin spice lattes will hit Starbucks on September 8

Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte Now Contains Actual Pumpkin

(Grub Street) -- Pumpkin spice-everything seems to roll out earlier and earlier every year, but Starbucks, for one, is pushing back the release of its Pumpkin Spice Lattes -- now with real pumpkin, which eh -- to September 8 this year. No sign of a pumpkin-spice decline, though: The move is in keeping with the company's usual strategy of releasing the drink the day after Labor Day, which just happens to fall on September 7. As in the past, there will be an early release for some "lucky" customers, granted in previous years based on rewards status and online scavenger-hunt skills, on September 4, nine days later then in 2014. Expect the drink's cutlike fans to revolt.
