Demi Lovato adopts new dog 'Batman'

Demi Lovato has a new buddy.

The 23rd-year-old pop star just adopted a new dog, after having recently lost her last in a tragic accident. Lovato was pretty beat up by the event and posted several photos in his honor on her Instagram and Twitter. She even mentioned how her and her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama shared him and recalled several good memories with the dog. However, she is doing her best to move forward.

Lovato finally found a new friend, and she named him Batman. See the photo she posted to Twitter.

Lovato's last dog, Buddy, passed away a couple weeks ago. Lovato posted this collage in memory of the adorable pooch to her Instagram with a sweet message:

"We can't thank you all enough. This has been the most painful week of my life but because Wilmer and I had so much love and support, I've been able to stay strong and will continue to get through this difficult time. The out pour of love and support has been unbelievable and it means the world to us. Love you all tons and ton..."
