This is not a drill: Here's how to get free Starbucks for life

Starbucks barista Brad Halsey just leaked the most epic Starbucks hack of all time. He claims that one brilliant customer found a way to get a free delicious Starbucks beverage every single day of the year. We're very intrigued.

According to Business Insider, this genius consumer's tactics are actually quite simple. Here's the secret. You buy 365 Starbucks cards, register each card for a different birthday, and use the Starbucks app to get your free birthday drink every single day. Why did we not think of that first? It's brilliant!

For Halsey, though, the hack is quite frustrating. He sent an email to the website Kitchenette for its "Horrible Restaurant Customers" series about how the guy managed to hack the system. Halsey wrote that the man tries to cover up the fact that he has purchased a Starbucks card for every day of the year. He wrote:

"Even though I know exactly how he 'beat the system' there, he pretends that his app is just malfunctioning and it magically gives him the same free birthday drink every day."

Not only does this customer get a free drink every day, but he's also extremely particular about his order. This makes his cheating of the system about 10 times more annoying for Halsey than it already was. While we feel for Halsey, we also really want to try this hack because, let's be real, free Starbucks every day would be the dream.

While the hack would set us back $365 for a period of time, we can save over $450 a year if we use the gift cards every day to get tall $2.25 drinks! And that's only if we get the smallest size. Sounds like a pretty sweet bargain to us!
