For Carrie Underwood fans, the (relatively short) wait for new music is finally over because she is back with a brand new single "Smoke Break" available tonight.

"The song itself just kinda one of those story songs that I feel like everybody can relate to about how life is so hectic and it's so nice when, if and when, you actually get to kinda step away for a second," Underwood said in a video posted to Facebook. "We all need that time to ourselves and to get to take a break, and I really hope you guys love it because I'm so excited about it!"

The next album titled "Storyteller" will be released on Friday, October 23rd.

Earlier this week, Underwood took to Twitter to reveal that she would be holding a special live Q&A on Facebook on Thursday which would come with a "big announcement." See her tweet below.

It's been over 3 years since the 32-year-old country superstar released "Blown Away" (her last proper studio album) with the exception of her greatest hits album last year -- an album of her chart-topping hits which featured two brand new songs -- "Something in the Water" and "Little Toy Guns."
