5 Reasons You're Breaking Out

Skin going haywire? There may be a reason for that -- and a simple solution! Here are five reasons you could be breaking out:

1. Your cell phone. You carry it everywhere, and it transports germs from your hands to your face, which means you're spreading bacteria. To avoid this, wipe your cell down with antibacterial wipes frequently, and try a headset or earphones to avoid touching it straight to your face.

2. You could be low in vitamin D! Skin experts say Vitamin D deficiencies can lead to a weakened immune system leaving you vulnerable to bacteria, and skin issues. To solve this issue, try soaking up some rays or taking a vitamin D supplement.

3. Sugar! Eating too much sugar or carb-loaded foods can cause your skin to produce more oil, and lead to breakouts! Ween yourself off a bit, and drink water!

4. These are crucial: You're not sleeping well, or you're stressed out. When you don't get enough sleep, or you're over-stressed your body produces more of the stress hormone, cortisol -- which breaks down skins' collagen and causes more oil production, and zits.

So calm down! Get your vitamins, and those ZZZs! You're skin is depending on you.
