Company offers buyers the chance to spend forever on the moon
You've probably heard of buying a star for your loved one ... There are a couple companies out there that will allow you to promise them the moon.
San Francisco-based Elysium Space announced this week that it will deliver your loved one's ashes to the moon aboard a landing craft.
It has teamed up with Astrobotic Technology, which provides the rockets, to make the lunar memorials a possibility.
Yes, that means your loved one will get to spend eternity with Buzz Aldrin's footprints -- how many people can say that??
But the moon burials will come at a cost -- $11,950. The first 50 participants will get $200 off.
Elysium isn't the only one on the market for this special service. A Houston-based company called Celestis plans to offer the same moon burials for $12,500 in the next few years.
And if both companies seem a little too pricey, they also offer to launch your loved ones into orbit for a lesser price.
We aren't quite sure if this is what Frank Sinatra had in mind -- but at least it's an option.
At least you know they'll definitely be watching over you.
