Days Inn Workers Told To Flip Mattress Where Guest Died: Lawsuit

If you're already skeptical about the cleanliness of hotel rooms, you're not going to like this story one bit.

A group of workers in Tampa, Florida recently filed a lawsuit against Days Inn employer Jamil Kassim. In it, they claim he used racial slurs against them constantly, faced discrimination and other hardships while working there and they claim they were all fired because of their race.

If that isn't awful enough, the Tampa Bay Times reports that one of the plaintiffs says she found a guest dead in a bed — they reportedly left quite a mess too — but instead of replacing the mattress, Kassim allegedly instructed the worker to flip it over and let the next guest check in.

A PR rep for the hotel's parent company, Wyndham Hotel Group, called the allegations "concerning." We are going to call them horrifying.
