LeBron James, a basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers, is giving back to his hometown of Akron, Ohio in an incredible way.

The NBA star has agreed to pay the college tuition of at least 1,100 children who are in his "I Promise" program, and the kids range from third graders to seventh graders.

In order for the students to receive the college tuition, they must complete the program and meet grade and attendance requirements.

LeBron will begin covering the tuition costs in 2021, when the current seventh graders are expected to graduate from high school.

The NBA player told ESPN:
