Florida mom leaves 2 toddlers in the car so she can drink at bar

April King, a 35-year old mother left her two young children in her SUV on Sunday night while she went to grab a drink at a Frogger's, a local bar.

Police arrested her on suspicion of child neglect after the general manager and four other people saw King drinking some time around 1 p.m.

She denied being at the bar, and she said that she only left her 2-year-old and 4-year-old in the car for a brief period of time while she ran into a nearby AT&T store.

Police said that when they talked to King, she was lethargic with evidently slurred speech.

The children were not harmed, but police are continuing to look into the situation.
