Britney Spears will appear on an upcoming episode of The CW's "Jane the Virgin," according to a tweet from the pop star's official account.

"See u at the Marbella Hotel soon, @hereisgina @jaimecamil! Guest starring on one of my favorite shows EVER @CWJaneTheVirgin #DreamComeTrue," Spears wrote.

"We are so thrilled that Rogelio's 'nemesis' — Britney Spears — has agreed to appear on 'Jane The Virgin' in episode 205," executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman said. "Personally, after hearing about their long standing feud (from Rogelio's point of view), we are eager to hear Ms. Spears' side of the story, which we assume is quite different."

The series received its first Emmy nomination in July in the Outstanding Narrator category. Anthony Mendez, who is heard but never seen as the irreverent voice guiding the audience through the many dramatic life events in Gina Rodriguez's title character, became the first narrator of a scripted series nominated in the category.

Rodriguez also won a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Comedy or Musical, making her only the second Latina actress to win the award.

Spears began performing at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas in 2013. She also released a new single with Iggy Azalea called "Pretty Girls" in May of this year.

"Jane the Virgin" returns for Season 2 on Monday, Oct. 19, 2015.
