Brian Williams suspension ends, news anchor set to begin MSNBC duties in September
Brian Williams is officially out of the doghouse.
Williams, the former "NBC Nightly News" anchor who received a six-month suspension for telling a falsehood about his experience in Iraq, had his suspension lifted Tuesday, CNN reports.
The end of the suspension comes six months after it was imposed in February.

Williams will now take on a new role, that of breaking news anchor for sister cable network MSNBC. He will step into the role in mid-September, though a specific debut date has not been set.
As previously reported by TheWrap, some producers within the organization haven't exactly been thrilled by Williams' imminent arrival. "Dumbfounded how Williams' lack of credibility squares away with a network striving to be to be looked at more seriously for news coverage," an insider said.
Williams has been replaced on "NBC Nightly News" by Lester Holt.
