17 ooey gooey ways to celebrate National S'mores Day

How to Upgrade Your Next Party ... With a S'Mores Station!

Whether it's a outdoor barbecue, a party or movie-under-the-stars night, you can sweeten this season's fun and celebrations with an iconic summer treat. In case you've been living an extraordinarily sheltered life, a s'more is a delicious treat made from three simple ingredients—graham crackers, toasted marshmallows, and melted chocolate bars. August 10, National S'mores Day, is a great reminder to make the most of what's left of the summer.

The first official s'mores recipe was published in the Girl Scout Handbook in 1927, but culinary historians believe that the tradition began much earlier. Over the years, the recipe was passed from camper to camper and eventually became the most famous campfire dessert of all time. Ever wondered why it is called a s'more? Obviously because you'll always want "some more" of this rich, decadent treat. Big companies have taken note of this and carry products based on the super s'mores craze:

In honor of this holiday filled with chocolatey goodness, we've rounded up a couple recipes that will surely satisfy your sweet tooth. Grab a couple friends, make a campfire, and try one of these delicious recipes.
