This Day in History: Barry Bonds becomes the MLB's home run king

Whether you love him or hate him -- and no matter how you feel about it -- Barry Bonds hit more home runs than anybody in the history of Major League Baseball.

The record-breaker -- No. 756 -- came on this day in 2007. Bonds stepped up to the plate in the fifth inning of a 4-4 game to face Washington Nationals pitcher Mike Bacsik. The rest is, quite literally, history.
