You may remember last year's Super Bowl ads, much like the Kim Kardashian one in the video above. It's safe to say much of the time the ads are talked about more than the actual game. Because of this, advertisers are willing to do whatever it takes to clinch a coveted spot on Super Bowl Sunday.

Those ads sold for a reported $4.5 million on NBC in 2015; however, this year, they are going for a bit more.

CBS, the network that is hosting the Super Bowl this year, confirmed they had sold a 30-second ad spot for $5 million! Not only is the jump a big one from last year, but when CBS last hosted the Super Bowl, a 30-second spot commanded only $3.8 million, pocket change!

The Super Bowl is still some time away, but that doesn't mean much to advertisers. If you are interested in a a spot during next year's Super Bowl, starting counting your change now because Super Bowl 50 will play on February 7.
