Spice Girls "Definitely" Reuniting for 20th Anniversary

It has been nearly 20 years since Spice Girls exploded onto the pop music scene with "Wannabe." As the monumental anniversary approaches, fans around the world have one burning question -- will there be a reunion?

Nothing has come together just yet, but Melanie Brown, otherwise known as Mel B, is certainly on board. She told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Aug. 1 that "it's about time" for the group to get back together, and while appearing on the Today show Tuesday (Aug. 4), she expressed her desire for The Spice Girls to reunite for the occasion.

"When you say it's our twentieth anniversary coming up, it does make you think, 'Oh, my gosh, it really has been that long." she said. "Hopefully, we'll gather the troops around, and we'll get to do something to celebrate it next year. It's in my plan, I don't know about anybody else's."

Despite her America's Got Talent hosting gig, Brown has been fairly vocal about reuniting with the girls in the past few years. She insists that although all five members have "taken their own path" since their breakup, they've all remained close.

"I've got so many great memories. I got to tour the world with four of my best friends—even today we still all support each other. We like each other, and that's the most important part," she said.

Fellow Spice Girl Emma Bunton told the U.K.'s Daily Star in March that the group loves performing together, so all a reunion comes down to is "gettiing five schedules together." Brown joked on Today that she'd head the planning committee for the reunion -- only time will tell if all five can or "Wannabe" part of it.
