How Bobbi Kristina Brown's funeral bared striking resemblance to Whitney Houston's

The family of Bobbi Kristina Brown laid to rest the 22-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown on Monday, and the service was quite similar to that of her mother's in 2012.

Like Whitney's funeral over three years ago, Bobbi Kristina's casket was also transported in a gold hearse to the Whigham Funeral Home in Westfield, New Jersey. From there, Bobbi Kristina's casket was taken to Fairview Cemetery where she was laid to rest next to her mother.

Just like Whitney's heartbreaking 2012 burial, fans gathered at the cemetery to pay tribute to Bobbi Kristina. Some onlookers even held photos of the music icon and her daughter.

Another similarity between these two funeral services was that family friend Tyler Perry transported both Whitney and Bobbi Kristina's bodies in his private jet to New Jersey. An ET source says the filmmaker was thanked profusely on Bobbi Kristina's program.

Cissy Houston attended both the funeral of her daughter Whitney and granddaughter Bobbi Kristina. Needless to say, Monday's service was hard on the 81-year-old matriarch.

The funeral director asked those in attendance to keep Cissy in their prayers, as she had unimaginably, just buried her granddaughter next to her daughter and also her late husband, John Russell Houston, who died in 2003 of cardiac arrest after a long battle with diabetes and heart disease.

Prior to the burial, a memorial service was held for Bobbi Kristina in Alpharetta, Georgia on Saturday. During the memorial, the choir did a beautiful rendition of "Jesus Loves Me," just like Whitney did in her 1992 film The Bodyguard.

The similarities of how Whitney and Bobbi Kristina died are also eerie.

Bobbi Kristina died on July 26 at age 22 while in hospice care. Her death came months after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Georgia home.

Whitney died on Feb. 11, 2012 at age 48. She was found unconscious in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
