Happy birthday, Barack Obama!

President Barack Obama turns 54 today! While the 44th President of the United States has clearly focused on working with huge global issues, we figured his birthday was the perfect time to honor his fun and lighthearted side, too.

Nothing shows his humor more than his response to being questioned about his true origin. After Hawaii attempted to clear the air by releasing the president's official birth certificate, Obama joked with admirable wit:

With that being said -- and with all humor aside -- it was a big year for Obama as he focused on working working with Obamacare, legalizing same-sex marriage nationwide and launching his Clean Power Plan.
