Originally invented in 1927, PEZ, adds to a growing list of pop culture brands from the past that have now been created into films, following LEGO, Transformers, G.I. Joe, and the Ouija board. Sony Pictures Animation is also working on a Barbie movie, as well as an Emoji movie.
Some fans have been stricken by a sense of nostalgia, while others wonder if Hollywood has finally run out of ideas. What do you think?
