CHICAGO, Il. (WGN) -- Police are looking for an 8-month-old puppy stolen at knifepoint on a Chicago train.

A witness took pictures of the puppy in a pink carrier shortly after it happened.

Its owner told police that two men took the puppy on the CTA's Orange Line just after midnight Wednesday, as the train approached the 35th and Archer stop.

The witness who took these pictures says he saw the men even later, and they were trying to sell the puppy for $500.

Police are reviewing security video to see whether the incident was recorded.
