Sea creature can become invisible in an instant
They've been called the most beautiful animal you've never seen: They're called sea sapphires. They appear a brilliant color then disappear in a flash, becoming translucent again like an invisibility cloak.
The tiny crustaceans display light in array of hues from bright gold to deep blue. It depends on the way light hits crystal plates in their cells. Only males exude color likely to attract mates. Females are translucent.
Sea sapphires live everywhere water is found -- but good luck spotting one!
