In Bangkok people flock to indoor amusement parks to cool down

Updated

During the summer heat, people in Bangkok are cooling down in not one -- but two -- winter themed amusement parks.

Snow Town, which opened for the first time a few weeks ago, is covered with faux snow and has areas for play and sledding. You can find 'blizzards' blowing through the park three times a day, keeping the park cool.

Harbin Ice Wonderland is covered in dazzling ice sculptures and includes a slippery slide you can go down in a toboggan. But the fun doesn't stop there, for adults there is an ice bar, complete with ice mugs to keep your drink super cool.
