Why 'Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' boast very few success stories
Millions of viewers watched in envy as 28-year-old Shawn Booth proposed to 30-year-old Kaitlyn Bristowe with a stunner of a ring during "The Bachelorette" finale on Monday. While we certainly wish only the best for this couple, history proves that both Bachelors and Bachelorettes don't have much luck finding true - and everlasting - love.
The most recent contestants who've struck out in the relationship department include the infamous Juan Pablo, who refused to say 'I love you' to Nikki Ferrell, and Andi Dorfman, who called it quits with Josh Murray after only five months together.
And numbers don't lie - this graph shows that most of the show's relationships end in heartbreak:
But of course, the franchise boasts some success stories as well. Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter, the couple from the first season of "The Bachelor," are still happily married with two kids!
