Boy Who Asked Mailman For Junk Mail To Read Gets Big Surprise

Meet Mathew Flores, the 12-year-old Utah boy who pulled on the heartstrings of thousands.

While Ron Lynch, a mailman at the Sandy Post Office, was delivering mail to an apartment complex along his route, he came across Flores reading junk mail. Lynch found out that he reads newsletters and advertisements because he doesn't have any books of his own.

As you could imagine, the mailman knew he needed to help. So he took to his Facebook page to make a plea to his friends and family...and to his surprise, the post went viral:

Facebook friends... This is Matthew Flores. Today while delivering mail to his apartment complex, I saw him reading ads,...

Within days, Flores's dreams came true. People as far as India have sent books to Flores, and now his shelves are exploding with literature, all thanks to Lynch.
