First Date Ends With Impromptu Helicopter Ride and Rescue

A man and woman chose adventure and excitement for their first date but got a lot more than they bargained for.

The unidentified couple—described only as "young"—chose to hike the trails of Angeles National Forest in Southern California on Friday afternoon. Equipped with a map and phone, the confusing trails quickly got the best of them and they soon found themselves lost.

The lost hikers wisely didn't attempt to search for a way back to civilization—and standard date fare—instead they searched for cell phone reception and made a call to the Altadena Sheriff's Station for help.
