The death of Bobbi Kristina Brown on Sunday at age 22 brought back sad and painful memories for both her family as well as legions of worldwide fans, who mourned the passing of legendary singer Whitney Houston just three years ago.
Born in the spotlight and an aspiring singer herself, Bobbi Kristina had a very close bond with her world famous mom despite being just 18 when Whitney died in May 2012. The teenager was in the lobby of the Beverly Hilton Hotel when authorities pronounced Houston dead in an upstairs suite, and subsequently rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center that night to be treated for stress and anxiety.
Growning up listening to the award-winning music of Whitney aka "The Voice," Bobbi Kristina was naturally one of her mother's biggest fans.

"Didn't We Almost Have It All" (1987)
During her final days while in medical care, some of Houston's biggest hits and Bobbi Kristina's most beloved songs were played in her hospital room, including "Didn't We Almost Have It All" from her Whitney album in 1987.
"Greatest Love of All" (1986)
Bobbi Kristina's father, Bobby Brown, played hymns and gospel music to his daughter at her bedside over recent months, along with some of her mother's tracks including "Greatest Love of All."
"I Will Always Love You" (1992)
Bobbi Kristina adored "I Will Always Love You" so much that she was brought to tears when Jordin Sparks sang the track at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards just three months after Houston's death.

"I'm Your Baby Tonight" (1990)
While filming a Lifetime series called "The Houstons: On Our Own," Bobbi Kristina was asked to sing for Whitney's musical director Ricky Minor, who naturally chose one of her famous songs, "I'm Your Baby Tonight." After performing a raspy rendition with a "nice tone," Brown said: "Yeah, that — yeah that was my favorite song."
"Who Would Imagine a King" (1996)
Houston recorded "Who Would Imagine a King," which was written by Mervyn Warren and Hallerin Hilton Hill, for "The Preacher's Wife" soundtrack in 1996. In March 2010 at a concert in Adelaide, Australia, Whitney serenaded Bobbi Kristina with a birthday medley that included her favorite song.

Bobbi Kristina's death followed months of medical treatment after she was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub at her Roswell, Georgia, home on Jan. 31. She was rushed to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, placed in a medically induced coma and connected to a ventilator.
Brown was later transferred to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta and spent her final days at a rehabilitation center before being moved to hospice care. She died July 26, 2015 at age 22.
