All Star Code is helping young men of color become tech leaders

Updated

All Star Code (ASC) is dedicated to closing the opportunity gap between young men of color and the tech industry by giving them the skills, networks, and system know-how they need to become the next generation of tech leaders. Founded in 2013, All Star Code is a youth education program located in New York City that connects high school boys of color to the tech industry by providing mentorship, industry exposure, and intensive training in Computer Science

We run year-round workshops, hackathons, alumni services, and our flagship program, a six-week Summer Intensive. The Summer Intensive is a ground-breaking, project-based web development course that integrates entrepreneurial skills attainment, guidance from leading tech professionals, and visits to tech offices and education centers. ASC works closely with parents, schools, and community-based partners to provide an ecosystem of access and education for these youth. Alumni from our first Summer Intensive program have gone on to run high school hackathons, intern at tech companies, and win admission with full scholarships to Ivy League universities.
